We bought this monster of a house in Margate in December 2019. Our planning application was Refused by committee after the planning department recommended Approve. We have lodged an Appeal with the planning Inspectorate who have re-written the relevant Policy in the proposed Local Plan 2018-2035 explicitly so as to enable the development we are proposing.

Meanwhile, we have decided to refurb it in a way that means once planning is secured we do not have to undo any of the work done. So why bother refurbing at all?

Because people in the UK will need holiday accommodation in the UK this summer. And Margate is a surprisingly lovely place. Where else on the UK’s ‘east coast can you enjoy sunsets ?.
